Not much playing with dolls happening here of late, but there has been some knitting for dolls.  After knitting up a couple of dresses following the pattern by CuklaMania which I showed you here,

Je ne joue pas beaucoup avec mes poupées en ce moment car je suis un peu prise par le tricot. Par contre, j’ai quand même tricoté quelques robes, avec le patron de CuklaMania, après les 3 premières robes que je vous ai déjà montrées. 

I’ve been messing around with different yarns.  The pattern is written to make a dress in Paola Reina, Las Amigas, size, but my first efforts were knit in DK and 4-ply, resulting in dresses that fit my Disney Animators.

Pour les premiers essais j’ai tricoté avec des pelotes qui nécessitaient aiguilles de 3.5mm, et j’ai fini avec 3 robes à la bonne taille pour les Animators. 

I then decided to lengthen the bodice part and make a version to fit my Sylvia Natterer Finouche Alix.

Ensuite, j’ai voulu rallonger un peu le haut, et faire une robe pour Alix, ma Finouche de Sylvia Natterer.

That’s knit in DK on 4mm needles with an extra 20 rows on the bodice, and an extra button hole.

Celle-ci tricotée sur des aiguilles 4mm et en ajoutant 20 rangées pour le buste et un boutonnière supplémentaire. 

I think it works quite well. Looks a little more « grown up » than the original version.  However, if I bought the pattern in Las Amigas size, it was  because I wanted to knit for my 32cm dolls.  So . . . I ordered in some Scheepjes Catona yarn, and knitted a cotton version on 2mm needles.

Je trouve que ça lui va bien, et fait un peu plus « grande fille ».  Cependant, j’avais acheté ce patron afin de tricoter pour mes Las Amigas de Paola Reina qui font 32cm.  Pour cela, il m’a fallu acheter une pelote de Scheepjes Catona. 

I’ll be knitting this pattern again (and probably again) to make more of these pretty dresses, in lots of different colours.  Probably trying with the Scheepjes on a 2.5mm needle next, to see how it turns out for size.

Le coton Scheepjes Catona est plus fin, et j’ai tricoté sur des aiguilles de 2mm.  Je vais sans doute faire d’autres essais avec des aiguilles de 2.5mm pour voir la différence de taille.
