I’ve been busy sewing and knitting for dolls.  More specifically, for Animator dolls.  The following, made with patterns by My Dandelion Dolls, a seller on etsy.

J’ai été très productive ces derniers jours avec du tricot et de la couture pour mes poupées Animator. Les créations suivantes, réalisées avec un patron de My Dandelion Dolls, une boutique sur etsy.

I bought a pattern to make a little cardie & summer dress with pleated skirt.  J’ai acheté un patron pour faire un petit gilet en tricot et une robe en couture: taille Animator.

This is how the cardie knitted up:  very quick & easy to make and here’s how it looks on Animator doll. Très contente avec le patron pour gilet, qui était bien expliqué, même si je trouve le bord sur les devants un peu large pour une poupée.

Poor Rapunzel had to strip down to her painted knickers because the cardie wouldn’t fit over other clothes.  I was quite pleased with it, but thought the button band on fronts looked a little wide on such a small item . . . so made mental note to self to alter that on the second attempt as well as moving up a needle size.

Et le gilet est quand même un peu “juste” . . . ce qui fait que Raiponce a dû se déshabiller pour le porter.  Alors, deuxième tentative, avec des aiguilles 3mm (au lieu de 2.5mm) et en tricotant le bord moins large.

Second attempt was knitted in bright orange because I had decided on this colourful “spotty dotty” fabric for the dress.  Dress pattern which needed lots of tweaking with the bodice  which (in my opinion) was way too big for an Animator doll.

Pour la robe . . . pas ravie du tout avec le gabarit du patron.  Les instructions étaient claires, mais le gabarit pour le haut de la robe n’était pas du tout à la taille Animator. Il a fallu beaucoup bidouiller.

I’ll be knitting up some more cardies, and making a few more dresses for Animator dolls in the coming weeks/months.  Also attempting to adapt the cardie pattern to make it fit a couple of my BJD dolls.

Mais bon, tout est bien qui fini bien . . . et je referai d’autres gilets et robes dans les semaines à venir.  Je veux aussi essayer de modifier le patron pour faire à la taille de mes BJDs.
